General and Scripting / Re: Show Local HTML Files
« Last post by Malkom on October 23, 2016, 06:15:51 AM »
Hi!
I made a search in this forum and in the manual but I found nothing about it, then here I go:
In some other Android creation tools (like RFO-BASIC or AppInventor by example), we can show local html files and have some communication between the application and the html file.
I would like to know if HyperNext Android Creator has support to show local html files using the Android WebView.
Cause I would like to use a html page as interface for a application.

Thanks in advance!

Uederson

Hi Uederson,

I'm so sorry to disappoint but HAC doesn't yet interface with the WebView kit.

Hi there,

Thank you for the picture, it helps a lot.

Yes, you could use a Listbox the do this.

There is a listbox example bundled with HAC - it should be in a folder called My Android Projects in your Documents folder.
You can see it here - although it actually looks nothing like your picture because the demo was just to show possibilites.

http://www.hypernextandroid.com/hnfiles/rescreator.html

There is information on Listboxes both in the HAC Help pdf and in the inbuilt help Guide Overview available on the HAC menubar.
I think the Guide is easiest to use.

There is also a SQLite Database example bundled with HAC and its also available on the demos web page.
Again information on commands and functions are in the Guide and PDF.

General and Scripting / Re: using a bluetooth printer

I'm sorry but HAC doesn't yet support Bluetooth.

There is a development system called Basic4Android that does support Bluetooth:-

Downloading HAC - freeware

If you want to download the current version of HAC then please register with this forum.

HAC is now freeware and you can find the Registration Details in the forum Downloads section.

Please note,

 (1) The last update to HAC was in November 2012 and the Android OS has moved on a long way from then.
However, the plan is to improve HAC over the coming months.

 (2) The HAC website is not there but will be fully online over the next week or so.

 (3) I cannot offer support but the forums and docs have information.

I've successfully used DbCreateFN to create and reopen a database but cannot see how to make it open in read-only mode. Is there a way to do this?

Yes there is. If the database already exists then use the DbOpenFN function:-

DbOpenFN(path,mode)    - where mode = 0 for read only and 1 for read/write

eg

Code: [Select]
Local res

@ -- read only --
Put DbOpenFN(filepath,0) into res
if res=1 then
@ -- db is open in read only mode
    ...
    ....
endif
